SOMEHOW PRINT
I write and design every piece myself in Laguna Beach, CA. I started Poster Journal in 2020 with one rule: make a poster every day. It's a public diary followed by hundreds of thousands of people and collected in homes around the world.
Every print is made to order on 100% cotton fine-art paper using archival pigment inks. The colors are rich, the finish is satin-matte, and it says what you're thinking.
Doesn't matter what you pick. They all look good. And they look even better together.
Terracotta
warm. ruddy brown. adobe.
Flame
defiant. vibrating. ancient fires.
Orange
the womb. the coral reef. the sweet spot.
Melon
starburst. shower gel. rubber erasers.
Salmon
electric. charged. neon at noon.
Blush
rose quartz. velvet. whispered secrets.
Lilac
cool. sweet. grandmother's garden.
Cornflower
faded chambray. french terry. sunday morning.
Denim
midnight ink. deep water. gravity.
Every print goes through hundreds of steps before it ships. Film grain, color shifts, texture overlays, chromatic aberration. It's a process I've built over five years to take something digital and make it feel like construction paper and bleeding sharpies. Matte. Physical. Old and new at the same time.
Before
After
The grain and color fringing are part of the design. Up close at 300 DPI on cotton fine-art paper, you can see every fiber and every detail. It's supposed to look like that.
Every print is made to order. Production location depends on where you live: Anaheim, California or Louisville, Kentucky. Framed prints are built to order in Louisville with locally grown white oak.
Packaging
Free shipping on all orders. Tracking sent as soon as it's on the way. International orders take 2-3 weeks.
Returns
Every print is made and framed to order, so they can't be resold. But if something arrives damaged or isn't right, email pj@posterjournal.com and I'll take care of it.
Three sizes.
8×10 is small enough to fit on a desk or a bookshelf. 16×20 is the most popular size and looks great over a couch or next to a doorway. 24×30 is large format and takes over whatever wall you put it on. They look good alone and even better together.
Solid white oak frame.
Each frame is built from real white oak with unbreakable acrylic glass on the front. The back is sealed with kraft paper and comes with hanging wire hardware already installed, so it's ready to go on the wall as soon as you open it.
100% cotton fine-art paper.
Every print is made with archival pigment inks on thick, textured cotton stock that feels soft and substantial when you hold it. The finish is satin-matte, the colors stay rich over time, and it looks the same in five years as it does today.
